What does she hope to achieve in this role?

The Harvard Club of Malaysia (HCM) has elected one of its most illustrious alumni, Nadiah Wan, to be its first female president. Nadiah, who is the CEO of Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara and group CEO of TMC Life Sciences, is also the youngest person to ever take on the role.

In her inaugural speech as HCM president, Nadiah pledged to ensure the club continues to advance Harvard University’s mission to nurture citizens and citizen-leaders in society through education and the liberal arts.

Part of the initiatives she is keen to expand is the Hard Prize Book programme, which simulates the interview process of Harvard College, the university’s undergraduate college, through which Harvard alumni serve as mentors to upper secondary school students.

"HCM will continue to tap into the strengths of Harvard University and its alumni to raise awareness on the power of education to transform the lives of Malaysian students and to advance educational causes in Malaysia," says Nadiah.
