Throughout September and October, we are hosting celebratory parties and dinners to welcome the new cohort of 300 young leaders on the Gen.T List

On October 3, we will be revealing the 300 Leaders of Tomorrow who are on the Gen.T List this year. These are young entrepreneurs, creatives and changemakers who have made a positive difference in their communities and industries.

Aside from launching the List across our print and digital platforms, we are also throwing a series of dinners and parties across Asia to welcome the new honourees.

The Gen.T Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) events will take place across our eight markets—Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines—and they will be attended by current and past year honourees, members from our Tribe and other business leaders and executives.

Here is a sneak peek at what to expect at each of our LOT events this year.

Our first LOT event has actually taken place. Our Mainland China team executed what might have been our most ambitious LOT event yet. It spanned over two days, from September 21 to 22‚ and was held outside of Shanghai at the picturesque Chedi Xinchang Resort.

Nestled on a hilltop and surrounded by tea plantations and a gushing river, the resort welcomed 2022 Gen.T honourees for a one-night getaway filled with networking and wellness activities such as tai chi.

On the evening of the first day, honourees dressed their best for a six-course dinner. Midway through, the Gen.T List 2022 was unveiled and there were also presentations by Louis XIII, the local joint presenter of the event, and Credit Suisse, the headline sponsor of the Gen.T List 2022 across Asia.

Three Gen.T honourees were also presented with their Social Impact Awards, a recognition that was jointly created by Gen.T and Credit Suisse to celebrate young leaders making a significant impact on Asian society in the fields of social impact, sustainability or innovation.

The next morning, honourees were invited to participate in workshops and a barbecue lunch before they checked out of the resort in the afternoon.

In Taiwan, the LOT event will take place with a sit-down dinner at the Regent Taipei on October 4. We are expecting more than 80 guests to attend, including the newest Gen.T honourees from this year's list.

One of the event's highlights will be a sharing session by Matt Cheng, who is part of our Tribe in Taiwan this year. A venture investor, serial entrepreneur and company advisor, Cheng will share best business practices and the essential qualities of a successful startup founder. There will also be an after-party for guests to let their hair down.

There will be a talk by Gen.T honouree George Royeca, who is the co-founder and chief transport advocate of motorcycle ride app Angkas, as well as an after-party.
