The heiress unveiled a virtual love island in time for Valentine's Day where users can take part in a reality show, complete quests, party and win rewards

Heiress Paris Hilton, who popularised the catchphrase “that's hot” has unveiled her love island in the metaverse.

Last week, Animoca Brands, the Hong Kong-based parent company of the gaming virtual world, The Sandbox, announced that it has partnered with Hilton and her integrated media and production company, 11:11 Media, to create Parisland. The tropical island, which launched in time for Valentine's Day this year, will allow Hilton's fans and Sandbox users to engage in social and community events such as rooftop parties and entertainment experiences at her expansive virtual Malibu estate.

The experience also includes quests that users can complete to receive memorabilia, Sand tokens and Parisland NFTs. Users who complete all the quests will also receive a mystery box.

In celebration of Hilton's 42nd birthday on February 17, The Sandbox will be hosting a social event challenge where fans can take a picture with the heiress in Parisland to enter into a raffle. An event for Halloween is said to also be in the works.

In 2021, Hilton launched an island inside a different metaverse—on Roblox. Called Paris World, it featured a replica of her Beverly Hills mansion and adjacent dog mansion, as well as a recreation of her wedding. On New Year's Eve that year, she also put up a DJ performance—for which in the offline world, she charges up to US$1 million per night.
