1. Marriott Cafe

The durian season is back, which means more delish nods to the king of fruits. Just take a look at this high tea buffet spread at Marriott Cafe that's loaded with your usual favorites: decadent durian bread and butter pudding filled with D24 puree, durian mousse cake made with real fruit, and baked durian strudel with a flaky, golden brown crust.

These are only the cherries on top of the cake; you can also indulge in laksa, bak kut teh, and oyster omelet. Get a second wind and finish with durian-flavoured crepes, panna cotta and ice cream. The durian high tea is available from 3pm to 5.30pm from now until July 31.

2. Lime Restaurant

Last year's lobster frenzy proved to be very popular, which is why it's back, from now until June 30. Exclusively for dinner, you’ll find the crustacean prepared in different ways—chilled, baked, cooked with a broth, and grilled—which brings us to the must-tries.

If you want to savour sea-sweet freshness, pick the lobster on ice or the lobster roll, in which the critter's sweet flesh is doused in mayonnaise and sandwiched between warm ciabatta halves. Let these serve as starters, so that you can go big with the mains, such as lobster in chilli crab sauce with golden mantou, lobster in black pepper sauce, and lobster laksa noodles.

5. Blue Potato

One reason to head down to this restaurant is its bevy of nutritious and delicious salmon dishes. Health freaks will find them hard to resist, especially when greens—like the watercress salad—are tossed with seared salmon, sun-dried tomatoes, and citrus vinaigrette.

More filling options include the salmon fillet and asparagus, seasoned with just salt and pepper and baked inside parchment paper. There is also salmon spinach tagliatelle bathed in white wine cream sauce, and tangy glazed balsamic grilled salmon accompanied by pesto mashed potatoes and baby root vegetables. Available until June 27.

6. Took Lae Dee

Bangkok's most famous (and oldest) 24-hour chain has found its way to our our sunny shores, thanks to Hersing Culinary, the company behind winning imports such as Tim Ho Wan and Tsuta. As Took Lae Dee is known for serving quick, affordable and authentic Thai dishes in a restaurant setting, fans here can look forward to traditional crowd-pleasers such as pad krapow, a popular wok-fried street dish prepared with either minced chicken or pork and Thai basil. Other familiar must-haves include the Thai national dish, pad thai, tom yum soup with chicken or seafood, and green curry with chicken, pork or beef. Of course, there's its signature milk tea or the pretty Butterfly Pea tea to wash it all down nicely.
