Chef de cuisine Jordan Keao knows a thing or two about creating a romantic dining affair. Guided by his Hawaiian roots, the six-course menu satisfies meat lovers with the allure of wood-fire cooking. A highlight of the meal, the 21-day dry-aged Huli-Huli duck breast is accompanied by succulent marinated duck leg confit, seasoned with sweet, savoury, and tangy huli huli sauce. For dessert, tuck into the refreshing rosella guava sorbet and vanilla ice cream with burnt honey tuile; or the Haupia, classic coconut pudding served with gula Melaka ice cream. Keao’s insistence on using the highest quality ingredients and his flair for cooking ensure that you’re sat at one of the best tables in the city.

This Valentine’s Day, acclaimed chef Josh Nyland of Fysh is serving up sensational seafood dishes at the stylish The Singapore Edition. The four-course set menu includes raw wild kingfish, grilled Australian crayfish, and signature fish bone noodles with scallop XO butter. For dessert, choose between the decadently glazed Valrhona chocolate tart or N25 aged Kaluga caviar for a sweet finale to your night. Nothing like a picture-perfect moment; share a toast of bubbly with your significant other over two glasses of complimentary Charles Heidsieck rosé champagne.

The destination steakhouse will be fired up with passion come February 14 to 15. Love is in the air with the “Flames of Love” four-course dinner: highlights include a vibrant dry-aged hamachi ceviche with strawberry basil and creamy avocado; while mains lavish meat lovers with melt-in-your-mouth Akune Gold A5 Wagyu striploin, accompanied by burnt onion purée. To keep the excitement alive, a champagne trolley will be making rounds throughout the night. For dessert, the petits fours not only consists of a strawberry pâte de fruit, but a popping strawberry chocolate as a cheeky surprise.

Embark on a romantic evening escapade accompanied by modern Mediterranean fare at Moxie. This decadent seafood feast of six courses will begin with a complimentary bubbly-based cocktail that whets the appetite. To start, crab and potato croquettes arrive with saffron aioli followed by tuna tartare dressed in spicy mayo and black garlic ponzu. To liven up the affair, the spiced prawn orzo course packs heaps of flavour by infusing Aleppo pepper garlic butter and chorizo chilli oil. The main event is the prime beef fillet, paired with velvety mash and a rich truffle morel jus while sweet endings are made possible with the rose-scented almond creme patisserie choux ring.

If Valentine’s with a view is what you’re after, look no further than El Chido, which offers a gorgeous, pool-side dining experience on the rooftop amidst the seductive cityscape. From February 10 to 16, the Mexican sharing set features a camote and pancetta coquette served with black bean puree and cheese selection; a smoky yet tangy tostada, loaded with crab and creamy avocadoes; and a dessert of pineapple rum cheesecake. Finally, toast to the splendid evening—and perhaps wow her with your salsa skills—with the Raspadura cocktail, a refreshing blend of smooth tequila, raspberry foam, citrus, agave and soda.

Comforting Asian flavours are given a modern facelift at Imbue this Valentine’s Day. The 8-course “Simmer Menu”, available exclusively on February 14, starts with the distinctively sweet Amaebi shrimp paired with strawberry vinegar jelly, fragrant drunken chicken, and lightly poached, caviar-topped oysters. Main courses meanwhile, include abalone with ginkgo nut custard matched with the much raved about “Malai Bread”. For the uninitiated, it is a modern take on the classic ma lai go (Chinese steamed cake), double-proofed, steamed to perfection, and sweetened with dark molasses. The crab claypot rice is a perennial crowdpleaser, featuring an intense sauce rendered from crab fat, and earthy morel mushrooms stuffed with prawn paste.

Dining al-fresco in a whimsical verdant garden sounds like great vibes but in Singapore’s climate, you’re bound to break a sweat in your cute outfits. Not at Le Clos though, a romantic gourmet wine bar at New Bahru that brings the breathtaking botanicals indoors. The amorous atmosphere is emboldened by the Valentine’s Day set menu, starting with earthy and savoury mushrooms, followed by expertly seared Hokkaido scallops served on a creamy bed of parsnip puree. The centrepiece would be the herb-crusted lamb, liberally drizzled with lamb jus and black truffles. Surprises come in sweet packages, including a decadent Valrhona Opalys white chocolate and raspberry gateau.

8. Firangi Superstar

This tantalising menu by thematic Indian restaurant Firangi Superstar is Valentine’s Day dinner done right. In collaboration with British luxury fragrance house Penhaligon’s, Firangi Superstar takes diners on a journey through modern Indian cuisine intertwined with the essence of iconic scents. Head chef Raj Kumar Jaganathan sets the tone with a curated menu inspired by key ingredients in signature Penhaligon’s emblematic scents—think Liquid Love and Elizabethan Rose among others. 

The dinner set menu stars a luxurious Australian wagyu stiploin korma inspired by the Elizabethan Rose scent. The charcoal-grilled striploin is paired with a sweet, butter-poached lobster for a lavish surf and turf, and complemented by a rich, creamy kurma infused with delicate spices.

9. Sospiri

Some say that Italians equate food with love, and Sospiri is right on board with that. Available from February 13 to 15, the five-course menu is packed full of high-quality ingredients and homely Italian cooking. The homemade tagliolini is stuffed with scampi and crisco pepper; the sea bream, skin crispy and flesh tenderly roasted, comes with green asparagus and smoked briny ikura; and bouncy Hokkaido scallops with pumpkin and marsala sauce.
