On November 23, 2023, chef Yamasaki Kenichiro and his team at Kikyo will come together to present a eight course dinner menu for Tatler Dining Malaysia’s inaugural Tatler Dining Kitchen, organised in partnership with Mastercard, which will be attended by Tatler friends and guests of Mastercard.
Our signature culinary event, which debuted in Hong Kong in 2021, has now arrived in Malaysia, celebrating the crème de la crème of the F&B industry and fostering innovative and meaningful collaborations. Tatler Dining Kitchen is a versatile space that unites the F&B community, providing a platform for industry professionals to showcase their creativity through exceptional culinary experiences.

Embodied by the themes of “Eat,” “Imbibe,” and “Experience,” Tatler Dining Kitchen aspires to captivate its patrons with unique recipes that promise unforgettable dining experiences. It also promises to elevate spirits with exclusive beverage tastings and showcases. All of this is accomplished through meticulously tailored moments of experiences that are unmissable.

Tatler Dining Kitchen will make its grand entrance at Kikyo, a fiery entrant to the local dining landscape. Kikyo offers the first premium warayaki (straw-fire cooking) dining experience in the country, boasting expertise in various traditional Japanese techniques, resulting in artful and authentic dishes. Signature creations include the delectable Miyabi A5 Wagyu Rump, the exquisite Sautéed Lobster Tail in White Vinegar Sauce, and the irresistible Aged A5 Wagyu Brioche.

Enhancing the multi-dimensional experience, diners will have the privilege of witnessing the skilled chefs in action as they masterfully utilise their straw-fire cooking techniques, a culinary tradition originating from Japan’s Kochi prefecture, where local fishermen still catch bonito tuna using single poles from the sea.
