Savour a mashup of flavours as chef Richard Ekkebus and May Chow dance again

To celebrate the milestone of #LMOTurns18, SOMM at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong and chef Richard Ekkebus are partnering with much-loved mastermind behind Little Bao, May Chow, to present the ‘East Meets West’ four-hands wine dinner on 2 February 2023.

A mashup of Eastern and Western flavours, chef May and chef Ekkebus will cook up a feast of seasonal dishes, where Chinese dishes will be paired with Western wines and vice versa. A few of the highlights include ocean trout with poached white asparagus, fruit tomato confit, tarragon and sauce choron pairing with Hasumi Farm Chikuma River Valley pinot noir from Nagano, Japan; the carabinero prawn, tomato emulsion, sweet potato, salted egg yolk, dill pairing with Les Clans Rose from France; and Somm's signature spice-infused wagyu short rib, black bean jus, Sichuan chilli paired with Domaine de Fondreche Ventoux Divergente 2016, Rhone Valley, France.

Two rounds of seating will be open for diners exclusively on 2 February 2023. Guests can opt for a four-course dinner (dining time between 5:30pm to 7:45pm) at HK$1,200 per person; or a six-course dinner (dining time between 8:00pm to 12:00am) at HK$1,500 per person. Both menus also include two welcome bites from Chow and Ekkebus. For an elevated dining experience, the wine-pairing menu by Somm's sommeliers is priced at HK$500 per person for a four-course dinner and HK$800 per person for a six-course dinner respectively.
