It is made with slices of fish and thick rice vermicelli which is a popular noodle in Singapore. Cooked in a milky fish broth, made from the fish head and bones, and seasoned with black and white pepper, this soul-soothing dish is the perfect winter dish.

There is a tinge of sweetness balancing the savoury flavours in the broth. For an extra kick, a dash of brandy can also be added to give the soup another level of flavour, making it a great dish for eating solo or to be shared with a group of friends.
