Luxury shopping mall Shenzhen Bay MixC is known as a destination for fashion, contemporary art and dining, a complex that has recently expanded its food and drink offerings with a series of new openings.

This fresh wave adds diversity to the mall’s dining options, with newcomers spanning everything from an omakase steakhouse and viral coffee shops to Taiwanese and regional Chinese restaurants.

Viral Beijing focaccia sandwich specialist Cappuccetto Rosso has opened its first South China store in Shenzhen. Diners can expect a variety of loaded and open-faced sandwiches on the menu with fillings such as Yunnan chilli peppers, mortadella with pistachio spread and stracciatella, and beef pastrami with stracciatella and vinegar.

Hailing from Chengdu is Mosnack, a Sichuan-style dumplings and noodles shop loved for its unfussy bowls and generous portions. Diners can expect the same good quality offerings at this Shenzhen outpost, with a menu that leads with handcrafted dumplings, Sichuan-style sour broths and bouncy noodles.

Or Beef Bar blends the chef-led experience of omakase with the indulgent cuts of steakhouses to present a curated menu that leads with premium Australian Wagyu. The experience begins with a choice between three classic cuts: ribeye, sirloin and filet mignon, which chefs will prepare in the open kitchen. Beyond steaks, the menu also serves a series of pasta dishes and pizzas to pair with the grilled-to-order plates.

Shanghai’s popular matcha specialist Matcha Wang will open its first South China store in Shenzhen Bay MixC, bringing its viral lily lamb lattes, quality hand-whisked matcha drinks, and velvety tea-infused gelato to the area.

Helmed by chefs Yu Bin of one-Michelin-starred Jie Xiang Lou in Hangzhou and Duan Yu of one-Michelin-starred Shijiu (also known as Poetry Wine) in Beijing, Ye Nan Ye Bei is an upscale dining destination that blends Jiangnan and New Beijing cuisines. The menu has yet to be announced, but diners can expect elements inspired by traditional Zhejiang fare and Duan’s style of innovative Beijing plates.

A pastry shop specialising in lime cakes, Yeetlemon+ will bring its baked-fresh-daily creations to the mall. Citrus is the leading flavour, expressed through a layered chiffon cake encased in a tangy lemon cream glaze, available by the slice or as a whole cake.

Shanghai-based Kuddo Coffee brings a brand new concept store to the mall that sports muted jade tones, soothing wooden accents and spacious booths. The café will serve a selection of best-selling coffee and non-coffee drinks such as mung bean latte and tofu latte, breads and sandwiches, alongside a series of ice cream and cold desserts for summer.
