Shang Palace unveils handcrafted rice dumplings for Dragon Boat Festival

Shang Palace has unveiled a refined collection of handcrafted rice dumplings for Dragon Boat Festival, each interpreting classic recipes through a contemporary, luxury lens. Led by corporate Chinese chef (Hong Kong) of Shangri-La Group Gordon Leung, the collection span a comprehensive range, from time-honoured Cantonese favourites to Southeast Asian-inspired and halal creations, from nourishing vegetarian options to an inventive seafood trio. 

The Seafood Rice Dumpling Trio features three distinctive creations: green lobster and conpoy, abalone with mantis shrimp and dried seafood, and black truffle with Yunnan ham and sweetened golden semi-dried oyster. Wrapped in fragrant bamboo leaves, each dumpling delivers layers of ocean umami with balance. The trio is presented in a striking dragon boat-inspired gift box complete with festive hues, making it an ideal offering for personal enjoyment and gifting.
