Niu Dian Beef Noodles is set to open on our shores on February 13
Famous Taiwanese beef noodle speciality joint, Niu Dian Beef Noodles, will be opening its first international outpost in Singapore on February 13. The local outlet will be housed in Viio @ Balestier, a mixed-use development beside Zhongshan Park in Balestier, and will serve up hearty bowls of beef noodles soup.
The joint was first established by chef-owner Lin Chun Ying in 2005, who hoped to recreate and share nostalgic beef noodle flavours for everyone. Starting out as a humble eatery in Taipei’s Xinmending district, the joint quickly gained popularity and earned itself the Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand award from 2018 to 2020. Today, the eatery is known for its chewy handmade noodles and flavourful broth.

At its Singapore outlet, look forward to its signature dishes like the combination speciality beef noodle soup that comes with chewy noodles, succulent boneless ribs, tripe and tendon. It’s bathed in a consommé-like broth of cow bones and short ribs for 24 hours. The result is a rich and robust broth that elevates the flavours of the beef.
Prefer dry noodles? Go for the spicy pepper combination speciality beef noodles, featuring the same chewy noodles, boneless ribs, tendon and tripe, instead. The rich broth is replaced with a spicy sauce made from a medley of facing heaven pepper and beef oil.
Complete the meal in true Taiwanese fashion—bubble tea. The joint has teamed up with local bubble tea brand, Palace Tea, to offer a range of bubble tea offerings like the Chrysanthemum milk tea, and lime and sour plum green tea with aiyu jelly.
