There are 69 establishments in total this year, including three new restaurants and nine hawker stalls
Ahead of the Michelin Guide Singapore 2021 virtual awards on September 1, the awarding body has revealed today (August 12) the dining establishments that are part of this year’s Bib Gourmand List. This is “awarded by Michelin inspectors to food establishments that serve good quality food at a good value,” explains Michelin Guide’s international director Gwendal Poullennec, who let on that Big Gourmands are often described as “personal favourites” of theirs.
There are 69 establishments this year—up from 2019’s total of 58—and these include three new restaurants and nine hawker stalls. The three new restaurants are Da Shi Jia Big Prawn Mee, which serves up comforting bowls of prawn noodle soup and fried prawn bee hoon; Sri Lankan restaurant Kotuwa by renowned chef Rishi Naleendra; and The Coconut Club, which is considered by many food lovers as the go-to place for delicious nasi lemak and other local dishes.

To sum up the 2021 Bib Gourmand list, it features 42 hawker stalls, 6 street food establishments and 21 restaurants that offer a range of cuisines and showcase Singapore’s diverse culinary heritage and tradition.
