The multi-restaurant gastronomy showcase featured Asia’s best restaurants collaborating over a two-day celebration at the luxury resort on the Cotai Strip
After its inaugural debut at the Peak and last year’s Central Harbourfront soiree, Off Menu Macau returned bigger and better than ever in 2023. Taking place at Cabana at Banyan Tree Macau within Galaxy Macau, Tatler Dining’s marquee event features six unprecedented collaborations between the best and brightest tastemakers in Asia in creating unique themed dishes that celebrate great flavours and innovation.
Sponsored by Galaxy Macau, Tatler Dining’s flagship event took place on November 18 and 19, 2023, which coincided with the 70th anniversary of the Macau Grand Prix. Under perfect autumnal weather and beside the poolside retreat of Banyan Tree, guests kicked back and relaxed on the sun deck, while the event became a vibrant celebration after sunset.
Off Menu Macau brought together the best restaurants across Asia, including Toyo Eatery, Potong, JL Studio, Petrus, Whey, Tin Lung Heen and Ensue, to partner with the most coveted tables in Macau such as Feng Wei Ju, Saffron and 8 1/2 Otto e Mezzo Bombana. The gourmet-centric event relished in unexpected surprises born from the culinary alchemy when 12 maestros of modern Asian cuisine meet. At the festival, 10 savoury dishes and two desserts were served, with creations like Potong’s Patagonian toothfish with kapi sauce and caviar, and Feng Wei Ju’s braised sea cucumber stuffed with minced Kurobuta pork showcasing the chefs’ knack for creative reinvention of their respective cultures.
Good food is best celebrated with great vibes and entertainment. Besides live streaming of the Macau Grand Prix events during the course of the food festival, Off Menu Macau invited DJ du jour, Mengzy, for her selects during the weekend’s daytime sessions, while music makers Chinky Eyes lit up the evening session with their signature hip-hop and soul tunes.
