The annual mixology showcase returned to Basehall this year with more participating bars and a bigger array of innovative cocktails over a spirited three-day celebration

After a runaway success in its inaugural debut, the Tatler Dining Cocktail Festival made a triumphant return this year with an extended lineup of Hong Kong’s most iconic cocktail venues. From November 24 to 26, 12 local bars and 10 international cocktail venues stationed at custom-built bar stations throughout Central’s BaseHall 01 and 02 showcased their creativity and innovation in cocktail making, rewarding guests with concoctions that exemplified the endless possibilities of modern mixology.

For the first time, the Tatler Dining Cocktail Festival was held at Basehall. The food Hall concept covered adjacent venues featuring Hong Kong’s most popular casual eateries and notable restaurants under the same roof, from Bengal Brothers, Smoke and Barrel, and Return of Lemak at BaseHall 01; to chef Vicky Lau’s Ān Soy; Hong Kong half-century staple On Lee Noodle Shop; Ozaki Wagyu tsukemen specialist Mashi No Mashi, beloved Cantonese barbecue hot spot Kamcentre Roast Goose, among others, each showcasing their signature dishes throughout the event.

The three-day cocktail festival event also featured newcomers in the bar industry from this year, who debuted their unique creations at the Tatler Bar booth. The lineup included a veritable cross-section of Hong Kong's newest kids on the block, including Kinsman, Plantation Tea Bar, Barcode and Mostly Harmless stations. Meanwhile, following his success at Macau’s Off Menu 2023, Seven Yi of Taipei's Room by Le Kief returned to Hong Kong for an encore.

Wrapping up the blockbuster weekend, Tatler Dining Bar Awards ceremony took place on the evening of November 26, recognising the best and the brightest in Hong Kong’s mixology scene. At the boisterous celebration, the year’s Top 10 bars were named, together with winners of Best of the Year awards which are given to individuals and brands that make a difference in all fronts of the bar, from the Best Drinks Programme to the Impact Award and Initiative of The Year.
