Off Menu, a one-of-a-kind festival of gastronomy with Asia’s culinary superstars returns to Banyan Tree Macau at Galaxy Macau from November 8 to 10

Off Menu is a culinary playground where some of Asia’s most exciting chefs and mixologists come together to craft dishes and drinks you won’t find anywhere else. Making its Macau debut last year, the festival became a sensation for showcasing one-off creations that are exclusively available at the event.

This year, Off Menu returns for another unmissable edition at Banyan Tree Macau from November 8 to 10, bringing an impressive lineup of acclaimed chefs and innovative mixologists from cities across the region—including Macau, Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo, Seoul, Penang and beyond—for a weekend of creative cuisine, innovative cocktails and world-class entertainment.

The event offers food and drink lovers the rare opportunity to taste all the dishes that highlight the chefs’ unique visions, all paired with creative cocktails and mocktails by talented mixologists. With a total of 10 dishes and two indulgent desserts, Off Menu presents an experience like no other, immersing you in the cutting edge of gastronomy in a festival environment.

This year’s line-up is a curated selection of Asia’s finest culinary minds, each known for pushing boundaries and shaping the dining scene locally, regionally and globally. These are the names to watch, and at Off Menu, guests can experience their brilliance firsthand.

From Macau, Riccardo La Perna of the one-Michelin-starred 8½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana will offer a fresh take on refined Italian flavours, while Chan Chek-keong of two-Michelin-starred Feng Wei Ju will dazzle with his elevated interpretation of bold Sichuan dishes. Joining them is Lok Hin-yam, executive pastry chef for Galaxy Entertainment Group, whose intricate desserts are works of art in themselves, and Jan Ruangnukulkit, executive chef of Saffron, Banyan Tree Macau’s Michelin-selected Thai restaurant, delivering vibrant, authentic Thai cuisine that bursts with flavour.

The talent doesn’t stop there. From Hong Kong, Manav Tuli of Michelin-selected Leela will serve his imaginative Indian dishes, while Loïc Portalier of the one-starred Louise brings a touch of French elegance.

Further afield, Peter Cuong Franklin of Anan Saigon from Ho Chi Minh City delivers modern Vietnamese cuisine that merges tradition with contemporary techniques, while Kei Koo of De Nuit in Taipei is set to showcase his bold, creative approach to dining. Seoul’s Hee-eun Kim and Dae-hyun Yoon of Soul will bring their signature modern Korean flavours, and from Penang, Su Kim Hock of Restaurant au Jardin will present a distinctly Malaysian experience. Tokyo’s Natsuko Shoji of Étè and Osaka’s Yusuke Takada of La Cime—both recognised globally for their artistry—round out the impressive roster.

Cocktail aficionados will be thrilled to meet Lorenzo Antinori, whose Bar Leone recently secured a spot on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024 list. He will be joined by Nokoy Mak, chief mixologist of the newly launched Long Bar at Raffles, offering fantastic drinks that match the festival’s culinary artistry.

Alongside this stellar lineup, live DJ performances will keep things lively at Off Menu. Across the sessions, expect the infectious beats of Hong Kong-based DJ Natalie Dunn, whose eclectic mix of indie dance and house music will set the perfect backdrop for Friday and Saturday’s events. Meanwhile, DJ and turntablist Crystal So will bring a more soulful vibe with her blend of R&B, hip hop and funk, making her mark across Saturday’s sessions. On Sunday, DJ Mengzy—known for her global influence and bass-heavy sounds—will bring music and vibes as dynamic as the festival itself.
