Rooted in a more sustainable way to dine, Moxie champions plant-based menus and has gained a legion of fans among Hong Kong’s discerning culinarians in the process. Part of The Arcane Collective established by celebrated Australian chef Shane Osborn, Moxie continues to pioneer forward-thinking, progressive cuisine and offers a parade of innovative, unconventional dishes to expand culinary horizons, challenging the traditional mindset by bringing vegetables to the forefront at the dinner table. Awakening curiosity with every plate, Moxie aims to reestablish diners’ relationships with their food, all the while supporting farmers and producers by showcasing the breadth of local and regional ingredients.
This holiday season, chef Michael Smith ushers in the yuletide spirit with a meal that is all about celebrating Christmas classics with a Moxie twist. The eye-opening menu kicks off with a choice of black tiger prawn cocktail paired with creamy avocado or an elegant terrine of Japanese leeks and nori. Then, a warming bowl of potato and porcini velouté, fortified by heavy cream, is served to the table followed by the signature housemade cheese and onion tart encased in buttery pecan pastry. For the main course, diners can choose between the decadent buckwheat and celeriac mille-feuille, or the Ora king salmon with spring onion and dashi that draws inspiration from Japan. The festive menu finishes off on a sweet note with a slice of Christmas spice custard with candied orange—best washed down with the Summer Fizz mocktail made with pineapple juice, lemongrass and yuzu.

Locally-sourced, sustainable ingredients form the building blocks of Moxie’s seasonal menu, inspiring the kitchen to craft clever flavour pairings and experiment with new cooking styles to showcase each ingredient’s innate properties. With precision, craftsmanship and strong attention paid to plating and aesthetics, Moxie continues to banish the myth of vegetables as a simple side dish, taking diners on another thought-provoking journey this holiday season.
Meanwhile, the Chef’s Table experience adds an element of theatre and personalisation to the occasion, inviting guests to ask questions and connect over the tasting menu, exploring the link between the producers and the plates, all woven together by the sustainable philosophy that serves as the beating heart of the kitchen.
The Chef's Table menu at Moxie is open to all Mastercard cardholders. Online payments are safer, faster and more convenient.
