Seasons might change, but at these floral eateries in Singapore, spring is always just around the corner. Lush bouquets and vibrant blooms line every nook and cranny, creating gorgeous backdrops for a meal or a quick bite. So take this as a reminder to (quite literally) smell the roses, and swing by one of these flower-themed cafes or restaurant—complete with a menu of freshly pulled brews and warm, delectable plates that will surely provide a feast for eyes and tummy.

1. Kreams Lounge

Away from the moody, autumnal escape of Cafe Kreams, the owners have opened a new, brighter, and sun-drenched location on the first floor of the URA Centre in Maxwell. Interspersed between dining tables and chairs are trees lined with red petals and purple cascading blooms. Grab a seat under the lush, floral canopy, and sip on coffee, tea, and other fruity refreshments. Feeling extra hungry? The restaurant also runs a Korean buffet, with free-flowing servings of salad, drinks, and popular street snacks including cheese tteokbokki, pasta, and more.

2. Routine

Couldn’t make it in time for the sakura season in Japan? Routine along Duxton Road will bring the pink-hued blooms to you instead. The space at this Korean-fusion cafe and bar is filled with cherry blossom trees—which adds to a permanent dreamy and romantic interior. Grab a dining partner and snap plenty of photos while you wait for the food to be served; the signature Routine’s Plate is a playful take on fajita, with bulgogi beef, peppers, and tortilla. Or choose to satisfy your sweet tooth with milky bingsu in flavours of mango, green tea, and more. Even the drinks are just as dramatic as the landscape; wash everything down with a Tornado, a high ball-style beverage that features a standing spiral of lemon.

3. Under Der Linden

Escape to the bucolic charm of Under Der Linden. Housed in a colonial-style building with plenty of green spaces, the first thing that will greet diners is a floral-lined archway that makes for a highly Instagrammable backdrop. And the interior is just as photogenic; the nature-inspired space spills indoors with rattan-backed finishings and bright pops of bloom. The all-day menu is just as alluring, no matter when you visit Under Der Linden. Brunch classics of avocado sandwiches and yoghurt pancakes echo the same environmental theme, and hearty plates of sustainably farmed barramundi and balsamic-glazed lamb ribs dominate the lunch and dinner offerings. Don’t miss out on its botanical beverages as well, which might come crafted with shaken pineapple with coconut for some tropical sweetness, or shaken tea infused with refreshing notes of lychee and yuzu.

That said, the Victorian-inspired interior is decked out in floral-inspired art—from the lush greenery hanging from the ceiling to the freshly cut flowers and blooms that surround the space. These set the stage for a satisfying meal that puts the season’s bounty in the spotlight: plump Hokkaido scallops done aburi-style doused in an earthy herb oil; Alaskan king salmon served with ratatouille, garden peas and ikura; and Duroc pork belly accompanied by an acerbic Savoy cabbage, petit pois and potato mousseline.
