From onigiri to doughnuts, Artbox 2023’s dining booths offer a selection of mouth-watering plates that are sure to satisfy any craving
If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, why not head down to Artbox’s latest edition, Artbox Vision 2023? After a three-year hiatus, this popular Thai food and lifestyle pop-up fair has returned to Singapore.
Set to take place over two weekends—February 24 to 26 and March 3 to 5—the pop-up fair will feature an exciting line-up of performances, workshops, retail booths, and, of course, food. If that’s not enticing enough, this year’s event will be held indoors at Singapore Expo, and away from the sweltering heat.
Explore the retail aisles and find a selection of clothing brands, artisan crafts and temporary tattoo art before exploring the various art installations around the venue. When you feel peckish, head to the food and drinks section and find an extensive selection of kiosks hailing from Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand.
Below, we share some of the most mouth-watering snacks, dishes and beverages to look out for.
Don't miss: 7 events to check out in Singapore this February 2023
1. Kobashi
This homegrown bakery’s kiosk is filled with all things sourdough. Craving for something sweet? Pick from a selection of sourdo’nuts, fluffy bomboloni generously stuffed with indulgent fillings. The pistachio dulce cream is a crowd favourite that oozes with caramelised milk jam, pastry cream and pistachio butter. Those looking for something savoury can go for the grilled cheese; and, for something with a fiery kick, the spicy cheese sandwich sees spicy jalapeno sourdough layered with rich cheese and rosemary butter.
2. Tang Jai Yang
This Bangkok-based Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant is bringing its signature Cantonese-style barbecue pork to Artbox. Its char siew comprises succulent pork that has been barbecued to achieve a beautiful char on the outside with a tender and juicy interior. Its finished with a generous glaze of sweet barbecue sauce.
3. Prime Liquor

Visit this spirit delivery kiosk and imbibe on refreshing sour plum vodka slushies. Here, the slushies are made with Clumzy Plumzy’s Sour Plum Vodka, a vodka liqueur infused with sour plums. Not a fan of vodka? A selection of wines are also available, including the Vinho Verde Destalo Red, a vibrant and sharp vino with the flavours of red berries.
4. No Time Hot Pot
Aptly named No Time Hot Pot, this kiosk offers single servings of cooked hot pot in a cup. Perfect for savouring while roaming the aisles, each cup brims with steamboat ingredients like prawn paste with fish roe, noodles, pork balls and tofu puffs. It’s finished with a ladle of aromatic broth.
5. Miss Chardog

At Miss Chardog, a selection of decadent hotdogs are topped with flavourful toppings. For something refreshing, the Miss Salsalicious has juicy smoked chicken sausage crowned with homemade salsa sauce. It’s sandwiched between fluffy brioche buns. The Miss Shrooms replaces the salsa sauce with a fragrant mushroom sauce, made with a medley of portobello, white button and shiitake mushrooms.

6. The Proper Concepts Collective

At this kiosk, find a selection of onigiri curated by local Japanese joint, Rappu. Exclusively available during the fair are four different onigiri flavours, including the Wagyu onigiri comprising juicy shoyu Wagyu beef, roasted green chilli and Japanese rice packed into a onigiri. It’s finished with toasted nori, cut to resemble an adorable face. While you’re here, try its house-made meatballs too. Curated by Feather Blade, these succulent minced beef meatballs are accompanied by rich foie gras mushroom cream and cranberry jam.
7. Whiskdom
This local bakery needs no introduction. Find a range of its signature cookies and lava brownies from the dark chocolate overloaded cookie to the crème brulee cookie studded with chocolate chips and stuffed with luscious crème brulee pudding.
