Tokyo-based jazz troupe Bloodest Saxophone are back to ring in the new year at this speakeasy-inspired lounge on Duddell Street. Limited tickets for their dinner, free-flow (Japanese whiskey highballs,  premium spirits, house wines and craft beers) and jazz show are available via Ticketflap. Dress the part—the theme of the night is 1920s, where pinstripes, feathers and hats are de rigueur. 

Starting from 9:00pm on December 31 is Little Bao Diner's inaugural Bao Block Party, featuring DJ Broadback and free-flow food and drinks for HK$580 per person. Expect plenty of booze-friendly snacks, from golden fried chicken to the restaurant's signature baos. 

Shake your tailfeather at Bibo, which will be transformed for a night of revelry complete with live performances, music and dancing along with the expected wine and champagne freely flowing throughout the night. This year, Duddell's will be presenting an east-meets-west theme combining "Venetian masquerade mixed with chic executions of Chinois". Don your most glamorous threads and enjoy free-flow champagne and cocktails from 9:30pm until midnight, after which Cantonese snacks will be served. 

Steering clear of Lan Kwai Fong? Head to Red Sugar's expansive terrace for a peek at the midnight fireworks while enjoying live DJ music, champagne and cocktails inspired by vintage Hong Kong. The party starts at 9:00pm and goes on until 2:00am and is priced at HK$500 per person or HK$1500 and up per table.

Countdown to 2019 at VEA Lounge, where free-flow drinks by Antonio Lai and midnight snacks by Vicky Cheng are on the cards. The dress code is all about flamboyance, colours and patterns, as befitting the Greatest Showman-inspired theme, with a live DJ set to put you in the mood to ring in the new year.
