Malaysia’s most celebrated craft beer brewery, PaperKite Brewing Co, has won multiple accolades at the World Beer Awards for the second year in a row
The prestigious World Beer Awards 2024 has adorned local craft beer brand PaperKite with gold and multiple silver medals for its impressive array of craft beers. This comes just a year after it made history as the first Malaysian craft brewery to be awarded four medals, at 2023’s World Beer Awards. Its Oatmeal Stout took home the gold, while its Pale Ale, IPA, and Copper Ale were awarded silver medals.

As one of the globe’s leading beer competitions, PaperKite’s triumph in the World Beer Awards is no small feat. Breweries from all across the world participated, with a panel of 60 international judges who critiqued the beers based on appearance, aroma, taste, and alcohol by volume. PaperKite’s victories add to the bronze medals it won at the Australian International Beer Awards 2024 for Copper Ale and IPA.

From its homegrown beginnings, PaperKite has made a mark both locally and internationally, adding their distinctive accolades to the growing Malaysian craft beer scene. Founder Alvin Lim dreamed of bringing a Malaysian touch to the global stage, and has done just that.
To celebrate this milestone and in honour of Merdeka Day and Malaysia day, PaperKite is launching its IC Mana?! campaign. From now till September 16, patrons can enjoy a complimentary glass of locally brewed beer at participating bars and restaurants stocked with PaperKite, as long as they say the magic words “Malaysia Boleh” with pride!
PaperKite is now available at Tap Room KL, Well Craft, Taps Beer Bar, Farmer’s Bar Subang, Alchohall, Great Beer Bar, Tap Cave, Kura’s Kraft, The Gavel, Jann KL, RexKL, Pepper, Yue Japanese Fusion Bar Sri Petaling, Common Man Coffee Roaster, MAX Transit Hotel Bar KLIA2 and Drafted, Penang. Upcoming locations include Bou APW and Bar Trigona at Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur.
