Dates are some of the healthiest and most nutritious fruits available. It provides a healthy dose of protein, potassium, magnesium, copper, iron, vitamin B6 and manganese. It is also high in antioxidants and fibre and is typically used as a natural sweetener.
Besides their health properties, dates are commonly consumed by Muslims when they break their fast during Ramadan, which is why the fruit starts to trend during this period each year.
