This swanky new wine and cigar bar aims to be the must-visit venue for live music, comedy and nightlife in the city

It is a few hours to the official launch V’s Lounge, and the brainchild behind it, Roberto Guiati, is beaming from ear-to-ear. The Italian-born entrepreneur gleefully points out all the new whisky and cigar lounge’s features, taking special care to highlight the interior.

“To be honest, I've always wanted a place like this. I think it’s in a great spot—easy for parking, and in a location that’s both central and private. I love going to jazz bars in New York and the idea was to translate that vibe here. A place for a good times where you can enjoy drinks and live entertainment,” Guiati enthuses.

He adds: “V’s Lounge is meant to set the benchmark for whisky and cigar lounge here. We're certain that we can offer a prestigious experience like no other.” This swanky spot is located just upstairs from Zenzero Restaurant in M1 Amplewest@Menara in Jalan Puncak, KL.

 ‘V’ can stand for ‘vogue’, ‘vibrant’ or ‘vivacious’, all qualities the venue would love to be associated with. The venue’s launch saw rousing performances by an eclectic mix of performers, including  Dasha Logan, Wan and the Crafters, and comedian Mad Sabah. Guiati hints at theme nights, like Salsa Night, in the coming months.

Food-wise, freshly imported oysters and exquisite caviar are a couple of highlights on the menu. Both make for an exquisite pairing with the premium whiskies, over 100 of them, as well as a variety of French and Italian wines.

A private dining room is available, offering two menus prepared by Zenzero’s executive chef Paolo Petris. The first is the four-course Le Tradizioni, a showcase of signature dishes including Saffron Risotto with Pan-Seared Foie Gras and Oven-Baked Lamb Medallion that have made Zenzero a renowned name. Then there is the five-course Le Evoluzioni menu, which features Seven Egg Yolk Tagliatelle with Sea Urchin.
