A look into a night filled with cheers, clinks, and camaraderie

It was a night where celebration and applause were aplenty. The Tatler Dining Awards 2022 took place under the dim lights of Suzie Wong and our friends Dewar's had the Scotch whisky flowing for our esteemed guests to enjoy.

After arriving, bumping fists, clinking glasses, and reacquainting themselves, our guests took to their seats and Tatler Malaysia managing director Geraldine Beh took to the front of the room to welcome guests with her opening speech. She lauded those in the room for making it through a particularly tough year in the industry with our "fellow survivors in the F&B industry." After her speech, guests tossed to the upcoming Year of the Tiger with a delicious yee sang, which was followed by a sumptuous four-course feast prepared by Suzie Wong and its partner Halley by Wondermama.

As the food made its way out of the kitchen and Dewar's drinks over the bar, guests were treated to a series of soulful and energising performances from The Funky Divas and Clinton Jerome Chua, who belted out covers of popular tunes that got guests dancing and singing along.

Throughout dinner, guests moved about from table to table, mingling, taking selfies, playing nostalgic games at Dewar's arcade, ordering drinks from Dewar's bar and catching up on the last two years apart. The night quickly passed and before the guests could finish exchanging stories of surviving the pandemic, it was time for the awards ceremony celebrating the Top 20 Restaurants in Malaysia. The winners got to take home elegant customised Noritake plates, courtesy of Artelia, to hang up with pride in their establishments.

The evening closed out with some guests bidding an early farewell to catch up on some rest before a morning drive or flight back home, while others continued to take in the tunes and revel over their newly acquired Tatler Dining Awards.
