Raffles Hotel welcomes back Alain Ducasse with Osteria BBR, an Italian-inspired concept offering a fun and imaginative take on Italian classics
Singapore first got a taste of legendary French chef Alain Ducasse's creations when he opened BBR by Alain Ducasse in 2019 at Raffles Hotel Singapore. Unfortunately, it had to close its doors soon after due to the Covid-19 pandemic which saw the food and beverage industry get hit hard.
Now that dining in is back, Raffles Hotel Singapore has recently reimagined the historic Bar & Billiard Room (BBR) to host the vibrant Osteria BBR by Alain Ducasse.

Despite the challenges posed by the changing pandemic regulations, the restaurant reinvented itself to reflect the evolving palettes of their guests as a modern and energetic Italian restaurant that serves up fresh and authentic Italian fare and scraps the idea of stuffy Italian restaurants to presents a fun and unique experience.
In fact, be prepared for a quintessential Italian experience without all the fuss but with all the finesse that the culture demands of its food with chef Francesco Soletti at the helm.
Soletti hails from Italy and brings with him a decade of experience working at numerous Michelin-starred restaurants including the three Michelin-starred Le Louis XV—Alain Ducasse à l’Hôtel de Paris Restaurant.

At Osteria BBR by Alain Ducasse, guests can expect a menu filled with a contemporary selection of delectable antipasti, freshly-cooked al dente pastas, succulent seafood, grilled meats, wood-fired pizzas and more.
You’ll want to start with their Mazara del Vallo Red Prawn Tartare which comes with creamy buffalo mozzarella, delicate savoury jelly and an indulgent dollop of salty Kristal caviar that ties the dish together. A truly refreshing start to a fantastic meal.
Another fantastic option is the marinated sea bream which is a cold dish served with fresh Amalfi lemon that provides a fresh and acidic kick. It’s the perfect dish for a hot afternoon.
