One of the best things about Singapore’s constantly evolving dining scene is that you will never run out of options. What's more, you will find new dining concepts cropping up around the island each month. From Japanese sandos to classic brunch fare, there is always something that caters to every palate. 1. Supernova
The group behind the popular Atlas Coffeehouse has opened its latest concept, Supernova, along Tanjong Katong. This highly anticipated café boasts classic brunch fare, among which are the eggs in meurette, a traditional Burgundian dish of poached eggs and sourdough in a bacon and red wine stew; and steak hash. The latter is a must try and comprises tender pan-seared sirloin steak cubes, crisp potatoes, kale and red onions. It’s finished with a drizzle of herb and mint sauce, and crowned with two beautifully cooked sunny side up eggs. Book here.

2. Mr Holmes Bakehouse

This San Francisco-born bakery chain has opened its second outlet at MYP Centre, and offers classic and new creations. Head down here and delight in seasonal cruffins and four exclusive sandwiches. Try the Pig ‘n Fig, a savoury bagel created in collaboration with local bagel joint Two Men Bagel House. It consists of smoked ham and cream cheese sandwiched between the bagel joint’s signature bagel. Those with a sweet tooth shouldn’t miss out on its seasonal cruffins (croissant muffins). Order the raspberry mocha, a cruffin generously filled with espresso-infused chocolate cream and tart raspberry jam.

3. Breakfast Grill
Start your morning with a hearty breakfast at this sandwich specialty joint. Select from a range of sandwiches, like the Chicky, a sammie layered with tender chicken thigh deep-fried until golden brown, sunny side up egg and cheddar. The sandwich comes together with the addition of an umami-filled garlic aioli and ranch. Other breakfast staples are also available, including the All Filled Up, a plate of juicy chorizo, bacon, scrambled eggs, portobello mushrooms and sourdough.

4. Le Matin Patisserie

Pastry lovers rejoice, as Le Matin Patisserie has reopened with two new outlets at Robinson Road and Paragon. Founded by former pastry sous-chef of three Michelin-starred-restaurant Noma in Copenhagen, Mohamed Al-Matin, this beloved joint is known for its freshly baked French pastries. Keep your eyes out for its signature bakes, among which are the famed kouign amann and pain au chocolat. Those who prefer savouries can dig into the Escargot Escargot, a traditional croissant pastry shaped like a snail and stuffed with rich mushroom ricotta custard and juicy chopped escargot. The savoury treat is then coated in a fragrant garlic crumb and doused with garlic butter. It’s finished with a swirl of tangy parsley chimichurri. Book here.

5. Hello Arigato

This Japanese-inspired café has opened its second outlet along Joo Chiat, offering signature and outlet-exclusive sandos. Here, sandwiches are freshly prepared using thick slices of shokupan (Hokkaido milk bread) and generously stuffed with savoury fillings. Its gyu sando is a must try and features layers of tender Angus beef striploin and caramelised sweet onion jam between fluffy shokupan.
