Savour a range of brandy-based cocktails with Chinese snack pairings by chef Lee Man-sing

Award-winning Chinese restaurant Mott 32 has created four cocktails in collaboration with Vecchia Romagna. The objective was to explore the possibilities of easy-drinking brandy-based cocktails and how they can be paired with classic Chinese dishes. Available between 5:30pm and 7pm, these cocktails—and snack pairings created by Mott 32’s executive chef Lee Man-sing—can be enjoyed Monday through Sunday.

Cocktails include the Apple & Brandy Fizz (Vecchia Romagna Classica, mixed with vanilla, lemon, apple and elderflower) which comes paired with fried squid and crispy baby corn, a suitably savoury snack to balance out the sweet, smoky temperament of the drink. The Coconut Fashioned is made with coconut fat-washed Vecchia Romagna, mixed with coconut, caramel and bitters and paired with XO sauce minced prawns.

Crispy air-dried Angus beef accompanies the Sesame Sour—a heady blend of Vecchia Romagna Nera, roasted sesame, egg white and poppy seeds. The Mott Club (Vecchia Romagna Classica, hibiscus, lemon, egg white, raspberry) is paired with the moreish snack of shredded Peking duck spring rolls. Each cocktail and snack pairing is priced at HK$160. Cocktails are available for HK$120 each, whilst snacks are priced at HK$80 a la carte.
