Simple hacks to reduce your environmental impact during your weekly trip to the grocer's

Going green can be as simple as switching to a reusable water bottle and as elaborate as adopting a fully plant-based lifestyle. As awareness of our environmental impact grows, it is vital that we take steps to reduce our carbon footprint and the kitchen can be one of the best places to start working towards this goal.

Use produce bags

Eschew single-use plastic bags for reusable grocery bags. If possible, toss small loose items such as onions, garlic and tomatoes into these bags instead of the clear plastic ones. And if you do use the latter, don't throw them away—instead, reuse them on your next grocery trip.
