Quell your cravings with the most delicious tacos that the city has to offer

Cinco de Mayo may come and go, but tacos are forever. Hong Kong isn't too shabby in this regard: from Baja-style bites to tacos that would make Tijuana proud, we round up seven of the best places in the city to get your hands dirty with this quintessential Mexican treat.

1. 11 Westside

A heavyweight in the local Mexican food scene, 11 Westside's tacos are hard to beat. The pollo asado is a crowd-pleaser, and involves chicken marinated in garlic and sweet citrus, then topped up with avocado, red onion and a medley of hot sauces for the ultimate bite.

2. Taqueria Super Macho

This boisterous taqueria on quaint Bridges Street is hard to beat when it comes to sheer amount of house-made condiments that come on the side, such as freshly made salsa roja, cabbage slaw and guacamole. In the typical fashion of the Baja and Jalisco regions, the tacos arrive undressed, leaving it up to the diner to mix and match. The restaurant also releases limited-time tacos occasionally, such as Tijuana-style beef birria, maitake mushroom, and prawn al ajillo variations.

4. Te Quiero Mucho

Unpretentious and fun, this taqueria isn't afraid to make a statement with its tacos. Take the carne asada for example, which comes loaded with grilled wagyu steak, raw onions, coriander and salsa verde.
