1. The Ritz-Carlton

Surrounded by breathtaking harbour views and opulent furnishings in an elegant setting, the festive afternoon tea at The Ritz-Carlton offers so much more than your standard cakes and a cup of tea. 

In collaboration with the legendary plush toy manufacturer Steiff, the hotel’s new tea menu is inspired by the brand’s history and German-born executive chef Peter Find’s favourite traditional festive flavours from home. On the cute teddy-bear shaped stand, expect picture-perfect treats such as vanilla chestnut tree with caramel chocolate, lobster vanilla and cinnamon cream tart, mini cheese bread, and more.

2. Four Seasons

A Christmas dessert lover’s dream, this beautifully presented tea set at Four Seasons is a feast to behold. Prepared by the hotel’s executive pastry chef Ringo Chan, the set not only features the hotel’s famous scones, but also an array of Instagrammable desserts such as a gingerbread man, petit cinnamon rolls and mulled berries snowman macarons to get you into the festive spirit.

The menu is also available on the hotel’s e-shop as a takeaway set for two persons (HK$698 per set).

3. Tea WG

An Italian-chic affair with scrumptious treats, Tea WG’s new afternoon tea menu comes in partnership with luxury Italian fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo. Taking inspiration from the colourful palette and lively spirit of the brand’s fragrance collection, Signorina Fashion Edition, the set showcases an array of tea-infused savoury bites and sweets. Tuck into creations like mozzarella and cherry tomato sprinkled with red jasmine tea powder, jade blossom tea-infused crab meat with beetroot on toasted bread, orange blossom tea-infused panna cotta filled with blueberry cream cheese, alongside scones and a beautiful assortment of macarons. The set also comes with a selection of premium tea blends to choose from.

4. 181 Fortnum & Mason

For a quintessentially British afternoon tea experience, head to 181 Fortnum & Mason, where you can feast on delicious treats in a luxurious setting complemented with unparalleled views over Victoria Harbour.

5. The Peninsula

With its five-star hospitality and ornate surroundings, tea at The Peninsula is a glorious treat. This Christmas, the luxury hotel is welcoming guests to celebrate the festive season and support a good cause with their new menu at The Lobby, which donates US$5 for every tea set sold to ImpactHK.

Served on an elegant stand, the set offers savouries including truffle gougère with mushrooms, foie gras mousse and pain d'épices (French cake), and Balik salmon with king crab and smoked Avruga caviar. On the sweet side, you’ll find a classic black forest cake, gingerbread and orange tart, Christmas pudding with vanilla cream, and many more festive desserts.

To drink, the tea menu ranges from classic options to more unique blends of cinnamon, hibiscus flowers, and peach and ginger oolong tea.

6. Madame Fu

Known for its spacious and tastefully appointed dining spaces, Madame Fu is a standout afternoon tea spot if you want to enjoy great food while capturing gorgeous shots to impress your followers.

With its elegant furnishings and great ambience, afternoon tea at Artisan Lounge promises to be an enjoyable experience—and now there’s a holiday-themed menu to tempt your tastebuds too.

Presented on an Insta-worthy three-tiered stand, the new tea set is complete with refined savoury bites, artful pastries, and warm scones. 9. The Langham

From the elegant backdrop to the beautiful tableware presenting an array of delectable sweet and savoury delights, The Palm Court at The Langham has perfected the art of afternoon tea since it refashioned itself after its namesake in London, which has been serving up the British food tradition since 1865.

With the new festive menu, guests will enjoy picture-perfect desserts including Christmas sleigh-shaped confections, chestnut mousse cake with blackcurrant and traditional trifle, and various savoury bites and scones. If you’re after traditional holiday treats with an eye-catching twist, The Murray’s afternoon tea is for you. 12. The Cakery

Just because your New Year’s resolutions are to detox or diet, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a good afternoon tea, thanks to The Cakery. This year, the beloved health-conscious bakery is offering a new festive tea set in the form of a photogenic advent calendar, which comes packed with light and scrumptious bites perfect for a healthier Christmas celebration.

Highlights on the menu include savouries such as caramelised onion pesto and grilled pepper finger sandwiches and a candy cane stick-shaped pastry in Impossible meat sauce, as well as dairy-free sweets including chocolate mousse cup, Christmas tree cake pop, mini lemon tart, scones, and many more.

Chocolate lovers, this one’s for you. This season, afternoon tea stalwart Green at Hotel Icon is partnering with legendary Belgian chocolatier Godiva to launch a new menu that will satisfy all your holiday cravings.

On the menu, there are scrumptious savouries such as duck liver mousse coated chocolate with caviar, smoked salmon with roe, and chorizo olive skewer. The assortment is accompanied by scones and sweet treats such as Godiva’s signature chocolates, dark chocolate mousse infused with earl grey tea, lemon verbena with framboise macaroon, and more. The best part? Diners will also be able to enjoy unlimited Godiva soft serve ice cream and strawberry chocolate dip.
