Founded in 2021 by Bryan Chng, Urban Delineation was established with a clear ambition: to build a design practice that moves beyond the conventions of interior design.
From an early age, he was drawn to the ways architecture, landscapes and interiors shape emotion, influence daily rituals and foster connection. That curiosity led him to pursue a Bachelor of Design in Architecture (Part II) and Landscape Architecture at the University of Western Australia, where he developed a deeper understanding of spatial storytelling and design’s ability to enrich everyday life.
“I have always believed that good design extends beyond aesthetics. It should improve the quality of life, evoke emotion and create moments of meaning. That belief continues to guide my work today,” says Chng.
Before founding Urban Delineation, Chng built experience across architecture, landscape architecture and related design disciplines, cultivating the multidisciplinary perspective that continues to define the practice today. That breadth of experience is reflected in Urban Delineation’s approach to every commission. Rather than responding to passing trends, the studio begins each project with a narrative shaped by a family’s lifestyle, heritage, aspirations or personal memories.
Now supported by a well-rounded team of six, including interior manager Karina Yulianti, the practice has since completed a portfolio of bespoke residences across Singapore, ranging from premium condominiums and penthouses to landed homes. In recent years, Urban Delineation has also expanded into hospitality, healthcare and experiential environments, underscoring the versatility of its multidisciplinary approach.
“Above all, I am most proud of our ability to remain deeply personal despite our growth. We continue to maintain close relationships with clients, ensuring every home feels bespoke, emotionally resonant and highly considered,” notes Chng.
