About Us

For Chloe Elkerton, it was a no-brainer to establish her own bespoke interior design firm, especially with a childhood growing up in plenty of distinctive period homes in the remote English countryside, her love for textiles, and her unique artistic vision. The founder and creative director of E&A Interiors has had a fascinating journey in the world of interiors, first graduating in Textiles Design at Goldsmiths University in London and then followed by some editorial and styling stints at home magazines like Country Homes & Interiors and Living Etc. She then moved to Singapore during the recession of 2008, and the rest was history. She set up her own business the following year and subsequently what we know as E&A Interiors in 2003. “Since then, I’ve always considered Singapore my home,” she quips.

Now a seasoned designer, Elkerton is a master of designing unique, timeless homes with a luxurious and distinctive flair. “At E&A, we take a personal approach to design and treat each client’s needs as an opportunity to innovate,” shares Elkerton. “Our intuitive design sensibilities, expansive knowledge, and site experience help us strive for the most original solutions.”

Having worked on numerous residential projects on both a local and global scale, E&A Interiors has gained recognition for their bespoke furnishings and finishes that reference Elkerton’s travels, international background, and appreciation for the decorative arts. “We achieve our unique look through lots of layering, whether in pattern, color, or materials,” Elkerton tells us. “Each house is such a dedication of passion and expertise. I believe our clients can sense how much we value each partnership.”

A firm believer in “keeping the artisanal tradition alive,” the studio works closely with an experienced team of dedicated local and international craftsmen who “produce high-quality carpentry, furniture, and accessories.” The design firm also houses an extensive library of fabrics that acts as a “starting point” for clients and local designers alike. “Even though the artisanal approach is often more labor intensive in terms of design and logistics, we believe the quality and individuality of each piece is well worth the effort,” reflects Elkerton.
