Off the coast of northern Mindanao is the island province of Camiguin. Its natural beauty belies its given moniker, the "Island Born of Fire", as it is home to seven volcanoes. Unspoilt beauty awaits tourists who wish to venture into this municipality. Those who enjoy verdant terrain can visit Mount Hibok-Hibok, an ASEAN Heritage Park and forest reserve. People often think of Visayas and Mindanao as having the best beaches, but Catanduanes in Bicol proves that Luzon has much to offer as well. Catanduanes is a fantastic alternative to La Union as it gives surfers a chance to try out the waves. Though the shore is a little rockier than other beaches, its verdant surroundings and relatively quiet atmosphere make it a must-visit for those looking to trek off the beaten path. 

Test the waters at Coron in Palawan! Known for its incredible sunken shipyard, Coron is a favourite amongst old and new divers. See history as it unfolds itself before your eyes under the crystal clear waters of Palawan. Snorkelling is also a viable option for those who don't have their diver's license yet; Barracuda Lake has some fantastic rock formations that can be seen under the water!

Is it just me or is everyone heading out to Boracay? This all-time favourite tourist destination is quickly rebounding from pandemic losses—and thank goodness! It's time once again for us to enjoy the island's incredibly soft white sand: known worldwide as one of the best beaches on Earth!

When they arrive, perhaps the first thing they'll see is the Greek-inspired ruins that stand proudly atop craggy peaks.
