Starting April 1, visitors to South Korea who have completed their Covid-19 vaccinations will be exempt from mandatory quarantine
After two years of keeping its borders closed to international tourists and despite experiencing its worst spike in Covid-19 cases recently, South Korea is gearing up to welcome travellers once again. Beginning next month, visitors to the country who have completed their Covid-19 vaccinations will be exempt from mandatory quarantine.

According to the Korea Tourism Organisation, this applies to international travellers from all countries except Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and Myanmar. Travellers from those countries will still have to be quarantined for seven days upon arrival regardless of vaccination status.
Quarantine-free travel will be applicable to those who have completed their third dose/booster shot of the Covid-19 vaccine or received two doses (one dose for Janssen) between a window of 14 to 180 days prior to arrival.

Before entering South Korea, international travellers must submit their vaccination records and confirmation of the Covid-19 PCR negative test result (taken no more than 48 hours before departure) to the Q-Code website, along with other personal details such as passport number, port/country of departure, airlines, and address and contact number in South Korea.
Travellers will then have to scan the provided QR code at the immigration upon arrival.
