On October 14, 2022, Royal Selangor boutique opened its doors on the ground floor of the iconic Battersea Power Station. Boasting chic interiors decked out with design cues that pay homage to its bustling surroundings, the 1,132 sq ft space retains part of the original brick walls.

These were not the only preservations of history. Below the mezzanine floor are built-in pullout units that store, apart from Royal Selangor products, highly valued antique gazetteers of machinery and meters that were part of the power station.

“Known for its stately Art Deco style, Battersea Power Station is an iconic London landmark and one of the most innovative mixed-use neighbourhoods in this century. It occupies one of the most accessible locations in Central London, enabling us to serve our customers around London more effectively,” shares Royal Selangor's managing director Yong Yoon Li.

“Our store in Battersea Power Station will feature our new retail concept which enhances customer experience with immersive visual, tactile and audio-visual technologies. We plan to incorporate the building’s preserved and reconditioned switchgear devices in the store interiors.”
