Oscar-winning director Francis Ford Coppola has six hotels in his portfolio of properties, The Family Coppola Hideaways, including island escapes in Belize and a charming boutique hotel in Argentina. His pride and joy, however, is Palazzo Margherita in the southern Italian town of Bernalda—the birthplace of Coppola's grandfather.

Elegant and so very English, 11 Cadogan Gardens is a Relais & Chateaux property ideal for a chic London getaway. Located between Sloane Square and Knightsbridge, the boutique hotel is made up of four interconnected Victorian townhouses with a terracotta brick facade.
