Hilton has launched its first DoubleTree by Hilton in Malaysia's administrative capital, here's what to know about it

On October 3, Hilton announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside, the fourth DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Malaysia. Located about a 40-minute drive from the Kuala Lumpur city centre and a 20-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside boasts 10 types of accommodation across 290 luxurious guestrooms, including a Presidential Villa, with ample facilities for business and leisure travellers.

Meeting facilities here comprise 22 accessible boardrooms equipped with an LCD projector, Wi-Fi and wired internet, video and teleconferencing facilities, a digital sound system and a dedicated event manager to provide technical support. The Temenggor meeting room, in particular, offers stunning views of Putrajaya lake. Meanwhile, the pillarless Grand Ballroom can fit up to 400 guests, or be partitioned into two smaller spaces for a variety of functions.

Guests can savour Malaysian fare at Makan Kitchen, an all-day dining restaurant, including Iban and Peranakan cuisines, while coffee and light eats await at the KOFFEE deli at the lobby. A kid-friendly Splash Pool here makes for hours of fun for the family. The adults can hit the Lakeside Pool or the fitness centre to get in some exercise during their stay. The new hotel also sits in close proximity to attractions like the Millennium Monument, the famous pink Putra Mosque, Moroccan Pavilion and Putrajaya Botanical Garden.

“The launch of DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside brings us to our third DoubleTree by Hilton hotel to open in South East Asia in under a year," says Paul Hutton, Hilton vice president of operations in South East Asia. "The launch of the resort during this period is a testament to the commitment of Hilton to establishing our presence in new destinations across the country."
