From fine wines to luxury skincare treatments, see what guests of Chopard’s invite-only venue will be treated to during the 12-day film event

Ever wondered what celebrities did during their free time at the Cannes Film Festival? If they’re not living it up at the glamorous parties taking place along the French Riviera, you will likely find them lounging at the luxury hotels that they have made their residence for the 12-day film event.

This year, guests who have checked into the five-star Hôtel Martinez—one of the finest places to stay in at the Cannes—need only head up to the building’s top floor for a lavish experience like no other.

That’s because the floor now houses the Chopard Rooftop, a space envisioned by the Swiss luxury brand’s artistic director Caroline Scheufele to welcome the prestigious guests of the festival.

The rooftop, which comes complete with a terrace, takes full advantage of Hôtel Martinez’s prime location to offer views of the Bay of Cannes, the Boulevard de la Croisette, and the hotel’s private beach—all of which become only more stunning as the sun sets.

VIPs looking to unwind from the activities at the nearby Palais des Festivals de Cannes can enjoy that view along with a glass of Perrier-Jouët champagne. Delectable lunches will be served at the Chopard Rooftop, along with Bergerac wines from Château Monestier La Tour, the organic and biodynamic vineyard owned by Chopard co-president Karl-Friedrich Scheufele. Non-alcoholic options on the menu include Nespresso coffee, Acqua Panna and San Pellegrino water.

Even more tempting than the menu offerings are Chopard Rooftop’s beauty services. Thanks to a collaboration with Dr Burgener Switzerland Salon, guests can revive their skin with a luxurious facial treatment and a special Signature cream inspired by Chopard’s Rose de Caroline fragrance.

When it’s time to get back to business, guests will even be transported in style via one of the limousines provided by BMW.

Festival-goers can also get a literal taste of the Chopard treatment through one of the Chopard Loves Cinema ice cream carts along the streets of Cannes—a sweet treat to enjoy before a film screening.
