Jet, set and go! Thailand is welcoming travellers from 45 different countries and allowing them to skip quarantines from November 1

Additional reporting by Andrea Saadan.

Thailand has just announced that travellers from 46 low-risk countries who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 will be able to visit Thailand without quarantine requirements from November 1 as long as they enter the country by air and test negative for Covid-19.

The announcement was made by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on his Facebook page on October 21 and comes shortly after the country announced that it would only be letting in travellers from 10 low-risk countries including Singapore, China and the United States.

With the new regulations, travellers must simply have been in the eligible countries and territories for at least 21 consecutive days. They will also need to take a reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test within 72 hours of travelling to Thailand.

They will then have to take another RT-PCR test when they arrive and wait for their results in an approved hotel. Once they get a negative test result, they can roam Thailand freely.

If you are planning to make use of the loosened regulations and to take a trip to Thailand, keep scrolling because we have a list of some of the most luxurious hotels in Bangkok for you to enjoy your stay in.
