Spider-Man has his hands full dealing with nemeses from previous movies, and Doctor Strange appears to be of no help

Star Tom Holland surprised fans at the live unveiling of the new Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, which features such arch enemies of Spidey as Green Goblin, Electro, Sandman and, most significant of all, Doctor Octopus played by Alfred Molina, reprising the role he played in Spider-Man 2 that starred Tobey Maguire as the titular hero. The reaction was described as "electric", but much credit should also go to the trailer which sets up the multiverse arc that will extend into the upcoming Doctor Strange standalone movie also featuring Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch.

Naturally, Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) also features heavily as he helps to unleash the multiverse of villains after a spell to make the world forget that Peter Parker is Spider-Man (no thanks to Mysterio, the main villain in the last Spider-Man movie Far From Home) goes awry. Despite his role in it, Strange demands that Parker and his friends Ned (Jason Batalon) and MJ (Zendaya) to "please scooby-doo this crap". As for the villains, apart from Molina, Willem Dafoe and Jamie Foxx return as Green Goblin and Electro respectively. Both actors played opposite Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man series.

Jon Watts returns as director with Marisa Tomei reprising her role as Aunt May and Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan. Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released in cinemas in Malaysia on December 16, 2021.
