As we enter the penultimate month of 2021, Netflix is gearing up to release the rest of its lineup. With the weather getting cooler, it’s the perfect time to spend a day or two binge-watching Netflix alongside a warm bowl of ramen. For starters, Korean drama Hellbound is hoping to ride on the success of Squid Game. The highly-anticipated movie, Red Notice which stars Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot makes for an exciting heist-action watch.

The live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop is finally here and looks close to the original while Lin-Manuel Miranda’s feature directorial debut, tick tick...boom! promises to be heartwarming. Keep reading to find out what Netflix has in store for you this November.

1. The Harder They Fall

November opens with this Western movie starring Idris Elba and Jonathan Majors. The Harder They Fall follows outlaw, Nat Love (Majors) who reunites with his gang to take down his enemy, Rufus Buck (Elba). Buck is a ruthless crime boss who has just been released from prison.

2. Catching Killers

Fans of true crime documentaries, stay tuned for this one. Catching Killers follows the investigators behind serial killer cases, revealing the harrowing and chilling details of her efforts to track them down.

3. Love Hard

Love Hard revolves around LA girl, Natalie Bauer (Nina Dobrev) who’s unlucky in love. Finally, she falls for Tag (Darren Barnet) living on the East Coast on the dating app and decides to surprise him for the holiday—only to discover that she’s been catfished by Josh (Jimmy O. Yang). He offers to set them up but only if she pretends to be his girlfriend for the holidays. And you know how pretend relationships go.

4. Narcos: Mexico Season 3

Narcos: Mexico returns for its third season this month. The story will continue following the birth of the Mexican drug war in the 1980s, chronicling the rise and eventual fall of the Guadalajara cartel.

5. 7 Prisoners

This Brazillian drama premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival before its release on Netflix. 7 Prisoners centres around 18-year-old Mateus (Christian Malheiros), who accepts a job in a junkyard in São Paulo in order to provide a better life for his family.

But little did he know, he will become trapped in the dangerous world of human trafficking. He’s forced to decide whether to keep working or risk his own life.

6. Red Notice

Red Notice, one of this year’s highly-anticipated Netflix movies is finally here. Whenever Interpol issues the Red Notice—the highest level warrant to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted—FBI’s profiling ace, John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson) is always on the case.

But for this new case, he’s forced to team up with the world’s greatest art thief, Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) in order to catch The Bishop (Gal Gadot), the world’s most wanted art thief.

7. Tiger King 2

This docuseries was such a hit last year that it’s not surprising that it’s making a return before this year ends. Tiger King 2 promises more murder, mayhem and madness about US big cat owners. Viewers can expect the same features that made the first season such a hit—wealth, guns, zoos and tigers.

8. Cowboy Bebop

Cowboy Bebop is the live-action adaptation of the beloved Japanese series that has heavily influenced pop culture. This space western follows three bounty hunters or “cowboys” who are all trying to outrun their past.

Spike Spigel (John Cho), Jet Black (Mustafa Shakir) and Faye Valentine (Daniella Pineda) form a ragtag crew that’s ready to hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals—with a price. But they can only do so much before their pasts finally catch up to them.

9. Hellbound

Hoping to follow up on the success of Squid Game is Hellbound, a new Korean series helmed by Train to Busan director, Yeon Sang-ho. Known for his dark themes, Hellbound is a story about otherworldly beings that appear out of nowhere to issue a decree and condemn humans to hell.

Causing mayhem and chaos, a religious group The New Truth takes advantage of the situation and grow in influence. However, a few people become suspicious of their activities and start finding connections between the group and the supernatural event.

Release: November 19

10. tick, tick…BOOM!

Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner, Lin-Manuel Miranda makes his feature directorial debut with tick, tick…BOOM!, which is based on the autobiographical musical by Jonathan Larson, the creator of the famed musical, Rent.

The film stars Oscar nominee and Tony Award winner, Andrew Garfield as Jon, a young theatre composer who’s working as a server at a diner while writing what he hopes will be the next great musical. All this while navigating love and friendship and the pressure to make it big before time runs out.
