Said to be one of London’s oldest purpose-built cinemas, the Electric Cinema has become somewhat of an institution along Portobello Road, offering a viewing experience set against old-world grandeur for up to 83 guests. The Electric Diner offers comfort food and cosy seating, and for ice cold beverages, guests can hit up the well-stocked bar.

Embassy Diplomat Screens is all about regal furnishings and five-star treatment, with decadent cinema halls styled like cosy hotel lounges. Each hall offers an exclusive viewing experience, with less than 40 seats, headphones and a private bar. Seating options range from luxurious day beds and loft beds with pillows and soft blankets to plush cocoon seats, complete with call buttons for butler service.

The first Asian outpost for Soho House, this members club and hotel in Mumbai sits in the upscale beachfront neighbourhood of Juhu, known as the Beverly Hills of Bollywood. Much like the other spaces within the venue, Soho House Mumbai's private screening room is rife with Rajasthani-inspired influences. It boasts 32 mohair armchairs and colourful printed wallpaper with lampshades for a more polished effect. As one Instagrammer put it: "If Wes Anderson designed movie theatres, this would be it."
