South Korea will never run out of female talents. Every year, a huge number of Kpop groups debut in hopes of becoming the "next big thing". In this article, we have listed talented girl groups that everybody should watch out for.

1. Blackpink

There is a reason why the girls of Blackpink are famous; they're fearless, experimental, and extremely talented on their own. Besides being big in South Korea, the girls have also taken over the world evident by their strong fan base in Southeast Asia and Western countries like the U.S.

The girls are also working on their individual projects on the sidelines of performing together as a group. Blackpink Rosé debuted with her solo album R on 12 March 2021, Blackpink Jennie has a hit single 'Solo,' Blackpink Ji Soo is working on a Korean drama called 'Snowdrop,' while Blackpink Lisa just teased her upcoming solo debut. 

2. Red Velvet

Red Velvet is not only a great dessert beloved the world over - it is also the band name of one of South Korea's most influential girl groups. For some people who may have been living under a rock, this pop icon debuted back in 2014 with Wendy, Irene, Seulgi, and Joy. The final line-up was completed in 2015 when SM introduced Yeri to the team.

Their flawless and addictive choreography and unique music video concepts have put them on top of the music industry. Their hit song 'Psycho' won several awards including Music Of The Year (Daesang) at the recently-concluded 2020 Soribada Awards. 

3. Twice

Since the group's debut, the girls have released many hit singles that made everyone dance. Some of their popular songs include Alcohol-Free, Fancy, What Is Love, and I Can't Stop Me—all coming with easy-to-master choreographies.

4. Aespa

The four-member group Aespa is a group that Kpop fans should really watch out for. Karina, Winter, Giselle, and Ningning got their band name by combining the words Avatar X Experience’ & ‘aspect’. Despite being new, the girls have already garnered millions of views on YouTube.

Their Next Level music video surpassed 100 million views just 32 days after its release, while their Black Mamba held the record for fastest Kpop group debut music video to reach 100 million views in just 52 days.

5. TRI.BE

The highly-anticipated Kpop group TRI.BE consists of seven members put together by high-profile musician Shinsadong Tiger and Universal Music in Korea. The group rapidly attracted international supporters after it released its debut track Doom Doom Ta which already clocked more than 5 million views on YouTube.

TRI.BE is also Universal Music Korea's first idol group.
