1. Go out for a romantic dinner

Dinner dates on Valentine’s Day are a classic and special way to show your partner you care.

With many restaurants touting out extravagant Valentine’s Day menus at their establishments for couples, it can be difficult to make a decision as to where to go for the evening especially as many of these restaurants get booked out quickly.

If you can’t decide where to go, take a look at Tatler’s list of the best restaurants for Valentine’s Day as well as our list of the best places to get Valentine’s Day-inspired desserts in Singapore for a sweet treat after the meal.

2. Plan a unique date

While everyone is out at restaurants and bars for Valentine’s Day, why not try something new and plan a different type of date?

From throwing paint at canvases to taking a stroll at the Singapore Zoo, there is something unique for every type of couple out there.

Here is our list of date ideas to help with your Valentine’s Day plans next week.

3. Create a romantic home date

If all the restaurants are booked out and you have no desire to jostle with the crowds, don’t worry because Netflix and your favourite food delivery app can save your date.

You can turn your dining room into a romantic place with candles, a lovely table cloth, flowers and perhaps the chic cutlery you normally reserve for special occasions.

Order a nice meal or even cook a meal for your partner. There’s really nothing more romantic than that. Pair your meal with a good bottle of wine or even some of Tatler’s favourite Rosé Champagnes to make the meal extra special.

If a fancy home restaurant experience is not up your alley, why not make your living room extra cosy and have a movie night snuggled up on the sofa with your beau. Check out Tatler’s list of the most romantic movies to watch on Netflix for some movie ideas if you are stumped with what to watch.

4. Order some flowers

No Valentine’s day celebration is complete without the addition of some beautiful flowers for your partner.

While this may seem like a simple thing to do, you want to make sure you do it right.

If you dropped the ball this year and forgot to order flowers, don’t worry because when it comes to bouquets—the bigger, the better. And many florists are happy to cater to that.
