Driven by passion and perfection, White Room Studio delivers portraitures of exceptional quality that brim with genuine expressions.

Having to get into uncomfortable poses can take the enjoyment out of a photo-taking experience. At White Room Studio, however, the photographers embrace moments of spontaneity so you needn’t worry about cheesy-looking shots. Instead, every photo from the studio shows genuine emotions, is tasteful and has a timeless feel.

The studio was co-founded in 2009 by siblings Elaine Lim and Dan Yeo and provides premium portraiture services to well-heeled locals and expatriates, who value its client-centric approach. Among its clients are ambassadors, ministers and influential entrepreneurs.

“We strive to capture the expressions of life that are real, natural and reflective of you and your loved ones, and the photos we take create an impact as they carry an emotion that is open, fun and real. We revel in witnessing and capturing the intimacies and expressions of love,” say the founders.

The team works out of an inspiring black-and-white Peranakan shophouse in the River Valley area that brims with nostalgia. The cosy ambience, coupled with natural lighting, is translated into refreshing images that convey intimacy. Overlooking Fort Canning Park, it gives the impression of being outdoors with an abundance of warm natural light and different creative corners within the studio’s walls serve as a backdrop for portraits with character.

From this space, photographers put individuals, couples, families and friends (including furry friends!) at ease in front of the lens with their cordial demeanour. The brother and sister team immediately gives clients a family feel. Yet there is no compromise on quality of photography and customer service from beginning to end.

The studio’s reputation for passion and perfection has led to numerous awards both on a local and international scale. In 2016, the 3,000 sq ft studio expanded into an extra 1,200sqft of gallery space to make way for Third Room, which allows clients to view the personal works of the photographers and appreciate the depth of their passion for photography.
