See a show at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre

Book your tickets now to see Experiencing Usman Awang at the recently reopened Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac) from October 21 to 24. A tribute to the late Malaysian poet, playwright and novellist, the performance will showcase eight of Usman Awang's most iconic works through the eyes of sixteen theatre makers. The performance, which will feature a mix of dance, spoken word recitals and music – was initially planned for Usman Awang's birthday in July, and rehearsals were even conducted via Zoom by the industrious artists at The Actor's Studio Seni Teater Rakyat in preparation for it. Tickets for this performance are priced at RM44 each. 

Take note however that the show is only open to vaccinated individuals 18 years old and above. The show starts at 8pm on October 21 to 23 and at 3pm on October 24.

Visit an art exhibition at GMBB Mall

From now till November 28, catch the Telur Pecah 2021: A Contemporary Art Exhibition happening from 11am to 6pm daily at Kesana-kesini, GMBB. Curated by celebrated contemporary artist Philip Wong, the exhibition celebrates diversity in the fine arts, showcasing the work of over 50 artists, from emerging talents and senior artists to special needs creators. Alongside the works of artists like Sharifah Zuriah Aljeffri, fashion designer Eric Choong and politician-turned-artist Datuk Kamil Shafie, there will also be art by children artists and students from the Malaysian Institute of Art.  

This free admission arts event is open to fully vaccinated individuals who have registered online.
