One of the Four Heavenly Kings of Hong Kong and Asian fashion doyenne collaborate on Lovfinity to bring you best of both worlds
Expect nothing subtle when Leon Lai, king of Canto-pop, and Vivienne Tam, queen of fashion, grace the Central Harbourfront stage on December 17 and 18. The event space will be transformed into the city’s largest outdoor catwalk stage for Lai and Tam’s Lovfinity, which weaves together a fashion show and drive-in a concert, allowing audiences to enjoy the event while seated in the comfort of their cars parked at designated spots.
Putting equal emphasis on both, without one overshadowing the other, the event promises to be a multifaceted treat for the senses with its eclectic mix of colours and Canto-pop.
Lovfinity will showcase pieces from Tam’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection that were displayed at the New York Fashion Week, as well as bespoke outfits created exclusively for this Hong Kong event. Meanwhile, Lai’s setlist will be a surprise.

“I can’t spill too much [details], but it is a show bringing the best of both worlds. It will be a fascinating night for both fashionistas and music lovers,” says Tam.
While this is the first time that the two are collaborating, their connection goes back a long way—to 1996, when the singer attended Tam’s fashion show in New York while on a trip to film the music video for his song, Words of Love Not Yet Spoken.
Tam described Lai as “an advocator of unprecedented creativity” and recalls his experimentations with EDM (electronic dance music) and VR gaming music videos before either gained popularity in Hong Kong.
