Fine Art Asia, one of Asia’s leading international fine art fairs, will take place from October 8-11 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre

This year’s Fine Art Asia is set to take place from October 8–11, 2021 with a preview on October 7, 2021 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Despite the difficulties presented by the pandemic, last year's Fine Art Asia succeeded in uniting the Hong Kong art community in a rare physical art fair which raised the spirits of those involved.

Being one of Asia’s leading international art fairs, Fine Art Asia 2021 aims to deliver another vibrant, homegrown art fair this autumn. However, due to continuing travel restrictions, the focus will once again be on Hong Kong art and antique galleries as well as art institutions. While overseas exhibitions and collectors are unable to come to the city again this year, Fine Art Asia 2021 will help some international galleries to participate remotely in the fair.

“Last year, we successfully organised a physical art fair amidst the Covid‐19 pandemic, proving the strength of Hong Kong as an international art hub, and the enthusiasm and unity of the local art community. Despite the continuing challenges posed by the pandemic, Fine Art Asia is fortunate to be held as scheduled this year,” said Andy Hei, founder and director of Fine Art Asia.

“As well as focusing on local art and antique galleries and institutions, we are happy to help some of our long‐standing overseas exhibitors to participate remotely. We are also promoting a special project in line with market trends, providing collectors and art lovers with a platform of exquisite works of art”.

At the same time, there will be online activities that will keep the fair connected with overseas collectors and art lovers. This year, Fine Art Asia 2021 is also collaborating with the Hong Kong Art Galleries Association is welcoming leading Hong Kong art galleries to the fair. As with last year's highly successful, "Hong Kong Spotlight by Art Basel Hong Kong", this initiative brings together the city's visual arts community.

There will be a special exhibition this year by The Ink Society titled, A Tribute to Ding Yanyong. It will be the fifth instalment of the Tribute series which celebrates the art and legacies of mask ink painters.
