British Prime Minister Boris Johnson married his fiancee, Carrie Symonds, in a secret wedding at Westminster Cathedral over the weekend.

The marriage between the couple, who met in 2019, was a "small ceremony", according to a Downing Street spokesman who added that the couple would be having a proper celebration with family and friends as well as a honeymoon next summer.

1. The couple got together in 2019
Johnson and Symonds were first romantically linked back in 2019. Symonds used to work in the Conservative Party press office in 2010. She later went on to work on Johnson's campaign to get re-elected as mayor of London. She was the head of communications before she left in 2018 to become the head of communications for the Aspinall Foundation.
It was around this time that Johnson and his ex-wife, Marina Wheeler, announced that they would be getting a divorce after being married for 25 years.
Johnson and Symonds got together in 2019 and got engaged in February 2020 when they announced that Symonds was pregnant. Wilfred, their son, was born last April.
Johnson was also previously married to Allegra Mostyn-Owen which makes Symonds his third wife.
