A pop of colour such as deep red, plum or mustard can bring a nice contrast to an industrial theme. Antiques from the couple’s own or family collection can also bring a personal touch. Also consider using old-school tin cans as flower vases or a rusty bicycle as a statement piece. Balance the clean lines, raw textures and hard metals of the industrial look with different lighting. Instead of fairy lights, try light bulbs that render a soft, warm glow. Hang them across the ceiling, over your dance floor or string them vertically for a stunning backdrop.

For your photo wall or stage backdrop, consider a lighted floral arch, while for your table centrepieces and general decor, use lush floral arrangements to create  a romantic vibe. Think copper-hued vases with soft pink peonies, or hydrangeas in contemporary hurricane vases filled with tiny light bulbs. Succulent plants paired with lanterns are another way to add life and energy to a cool industrial concept. Illuminate your space with a main installation of suspended light bulbs, and place candles and fairy lights inside bell jars.

Decorate your venue with vibrant blooms and experiment with lighting. Go with fairy lights or exposed light bulbs, which will align with the theme without losing the dreamy vibe. Their combined effect can render even the most monotonous or formal of spaces a warm vibe. However, at the end of the day, no decor can create an atmosphere of romance if the bridal couple is stressed out or not enjoying themselves. Smiles are natural lights that brighten a space and enliven photos, making them emotionally captivating.
