Planning a bachelor party is always a tricky feat -- you don't want it to be boring, yet you don't want to incite the wrath of the bride either.

If you've been tasked with the honour of planning one or are looking for ideas yourself, here are some suggestions that will sit well with both bride and groom.

Paintball

Ask any guy and he would have wanted, at least once, to be a part of a shoot-out (why else do you think multi-player first shooter online games are so popular?). The safest way to indulge in that fantasy is paintball, where for an afternoon he'll be thrown into all the adrenaline and action of surviving by means of a gun. There are plenty of paintball arenas around but if you don't know where to start, may we suggest Canyon Paintball? Look them up here.

Golf

If the groom-to-be has a hobby like golfing, your job is pretty much settled. All you need to do is arrange for a session (or a few) with the rest of the groomsmen and make his day by spending the afternoon teeing off. A nice dinner, massage and maybe some drinks after will seal the deal. For an unrivalled experience that comes with some of the greatest views of the city, you'll want to check out the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club. Learn more here.

Racing

Got a motorhead on your hands? Get him behind the wheel in a safe and controlled environment with a trackday experience at Sepang International Circuit. Global Racing School has partnered with the race arena to offer some driving experiences that range from supercars and Formula One racecars to stock cars and rally driving experiences, each seen to by proper coaches and safety marshalls. Bespoke packages can also be arranged to ensure your need for speed is met. See their packages here.

The great outdoors

For the guy who loves nothing more than nature, it's as easy as booking a stay at any of our many rainforest resorts and letting him be in the centre of Mother Earth. Belum Rainforest Resort is one of the most renowned in the country for a myriad of outdoor activities, from kayaking and hiking to just chilling by any one of its resplendant nearby waterfalls. Best bit is luxurious accommodation awaits after a long day out so you don't sacrifice on your creature comforts. Make your bookings here.

Bar-hopping

If he is a wines and spirits connoisseur, indulge him with his tipple but take it up a notch by visiting some of the bars you and the guys won't typically go to. Whisky bars are aplenty all over town in Kuala Lumpur and for a little extra thrill, why not try and find your ways into a handful of speakeasies around town. It'll make for a fun night out with the boys and with enough drink, many a good story to tell in the years to come.
